DSC Preschool Mission Statement

Discovery Christian Preschool exists to glorify God by providing a nurturing Christian environment that will lead children to discover Jesus, God’s love, and the wonderful world God has created.

DSC Preschool Purpose

Discovery Christian Preschool provides a caring Christian environment that meets the social and academic needs of each individual child through example and instruction. Discovery Christian Preschool provides Christian education and developmentally appropriate activities for three to five year olds that foster their creative, spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.

DSC Preschool Philosophy

We are dedicated to serving children, their parents, and God. We strongly believe that this initial formative period in a child leaves a lasting impression in the child’s mind and forms the foundation within the child upon which all future knowledge and wisdom will be built.

Children learn best when they are active participants: mentally, physically, thinking, and doing. Discovery Christian Preschool provides a balance of individual and group activities, self-guided and teacher-directed activities, and active and quiet experiences that encourage development in each child.

We also strongly believe that very young children need the security and sense of belonging. At Discovery Christian Preschool, we feel that we are an extension of each child’s family. We want to provide security away from home, but most importantly, we want children to know that they belong to God in whom they can find unconditional love.

Every child is a unique individual created by God with a right to be treated with respect and dignity. We demonstrate God’s love and concern for children in a warm and nurturing environment conducive to learning and loving.
